I’ve been open in preferring Clinton to Sanders too, and a good part of that is because people are always telling me (college-student power dyke atheist) that I HAVE to vote for Sanders because he’s the only candidate who ~cares about me~. My view of politics is very Room-Where-It-Happens, that politicians sometimes have to make compromises and unpopular choices, and I feel like a bitter old lady every time I see the Candidates And Birds meme.
